As some of you might know, Muslims observe prayers five times a day, and for hundreds of years, these prayers have served as guides to Muslims throughout the day. The main purpose of the five prayers is to have a connection with God — they are referred to as Salah, which literally translates to “connection”. However, they serve another important purpose for Muslims. We have been using them as indicators of time to go about our day. Prayers are used as scaffolding for the day: when to wake up, when to eat lunch, when to go back home after work…
Hello to the readers and to those who want to make it big on Medium, your success might lie somewhere beyond this platform, mine did, and here is my alternative success story.
I posted my first Medium article in July 2019; it was a flash fiction in response to a writing prompt. I felt happy and validated when the story got published and even happier when the next one did. And then my attention was grabbed by all the personal stories of how people had a big payout because of the articles they wrote, and that became my aim. I…
I wish this moment of success would feel like a déjà vu.
Like I’ve already experienced it, seen it, felt it.
I wish the memory of this preset future would rush back to me.
So I can believe what is happening was always a possibility and never a coincidence.
I wish I could tell the disbelievers oh yeah I’ve seen this before.
This is me, it’s no surprise at all.
I wish I haven’t planted my self amidst their ranks.
So I wouldn’t be trembling with the fear of pent up potential now.
I wish I had the confidence of…
“Most of us have two lives The Life we live and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance” — Steven Pressfield

Aida was the high priestess in the council and she delivered an unprecedented speech persuading the Neptune masses to host the humans.
“…we are of higher status, we have…
I did my laundry the other day and as I was folding my clothes, I had a full-on breakdown.
Usually, the process of doing my laundry and folding my clothes is a therapeutic one. I know I tend to be a little “neat freak” about it but I do enjoy it. I always put on my favorite playlist, dance, and fold like there is no tomorrow, until that morning.
I cried, why you ask? Well, I didn’t know which pile my face mask belonged to. That’s right I had a breakdown because I didn’t know where my face mask belonged.
Gavin roamed the mansion’s grounds alone on Christmas eve. His 6 children all drowned in the lake, bodies never found. He walked on and soon became aware of what had drawn the children to the water’s edge. His late wife smiled up at him instead of his reflection.
On June 19th the writing community lost one of the best novelists ever Carlos Ruiz Zafón. In honour of his memory, I was re-reading his book The Labyrinth of Spirits so I chose to apply the fickled finger…
